Swiss Bank UBS reaches agreement over mis-sold mortgage investments

The Swiss Bank, UBS has reached an agreement this month with US housing agencies to settle the claims that they had mis-sold mortgage investments between 2004 and 2007.

A settlement was arranged after UBS and 13 other banks failed to have an appeals court look into the case and claimed the rulings were "gravely prejudicial."

The company has set aside 865m francs to cover litigation costs.
