Gallagher Brother in Court Over Alleged Sex Offences

Paul Gallagher, the elder brother of Liam and Noel Gallagher, has appeared in court facing multiple sex offence charges, including rape.

Gallagher, 59, is also accused of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, three counts of sexual assault, three counts of intentional strangulation, coercive and controlling behaviour, and two counts of making threats to kill. The alleged offences are said to have taken place between 2022 and 2024.

The DJ and photographer, from East Finchley in north London, attended Westminster Magistrates' Court wearing a navy suit, black shirt and glasses. He confirmed his name, date of birth and address during the brief hearing.

District Judge Louisa Ciecióra granted him bail on the condition that he has no contact with the complainant. A plea and trial preparation hearing has been scheduled at Harrow Crown Court for 24 September.

The charges stem from an investigation launched in 2024. Gallagher is the eldest of the three Gallagher brothers, one year older than Noel and seven years older than Liam. While he grew up with them in Burnage, Manchester, he has never been part of Oasis. The band is currently on a reunion tour across North America, following a run of shows in the UK and Ireland.

Addressing him directly, Judge Ciecióra warned: "Your hearing will be on September 24 at Harrow Crown Court. If you fail to attend, you will be committing a separate offence, for which you will go to prison."
