Beauty Queen Accused of Attacking Women With Stiletto in Taxi Queue

A Miss GB finalist attacked a woman with a red stiletto during an argument over sharing a taxi after a hunt ball, a court has heard.

Taylor Gidley, 24, had attended a hunt ball in Bilsborrow, near Preston, in October 2024 when a dispute broke out as guests waited for taxis.

A witness described seeing Gidley, who was wearing a red dress, shouting at another woman.

Mia Monahan, prosecuting, told Preston Crown Court there had been a shortage of taxis and several women had approached others to ask if they could share a ride.

Gidley then struck the victim in the face with her right shoe. The woman fell to the ground and was left dazed, later telling police she had no memory of the assault.

Her friend said the victim complained of a headache and was sick following the incident.

The woman woke the following morning with a jagged 2cm wound to her cheek. Hospital doctors found the injury was consistent with being caused by a small object.

Gidley was identified through social media, and police later found the red dress and stilettos she had been wearing at her home in Padiham, Lancashire.

She initially told officers she had acted in self-defence before later admitting wounding.

Defending, Joe Allman described Gidley as "kind, caring and considerate" and said she now worked with horses.

The victim told the court: "I now have a scar on my face. I feel it is very noticeable and I am always self-conscious. I feel anxious when I go out."

Sentencing, Recorder Ben Lawrence said Gidley appeared to have become angry after the victim asked a man she knew whether they could share a taxi.

"Whatever the cause, it was wholly unjustified," the judge said, adding that the incident was influenced by Gidley's consumption of alcohol.

The judge accepted that the assault was out of character and sentenced Gidley to nine months in prison, suspended for 12 months.

Gidley was crowned Miss Lancashire in 2024 before going on to compete in the Miss GB final, where she lost to Ava Morgan, Miss GB Edinburgh.
