Police Issue Warning: Avoid Approaching Escaped Convicts from Derbyshire Prison

Authorities are cautioning the public against approaching two individuals serving a combined 11-year prison sentence after they absconded from HMP Sudbury in Derbyshire. Derbyshire Police officially confirmed the escape of 27-year-old Benjamin Pownall and 28-year-old Jack Humphries in a statement released on December 7.
 
According to the statement, the two prisoners departed from the open prison at approximately 5:15 pm on Wednesday, December 6. It is reported that Pownall and Humphries entered a vehicle and traveled into Staffordshire.
 
Benjamin Pownall, 27, was serving a sentence of four years and four months for charges related to robbery, weapons possession, and driving offenses. On the other hand, Jack Humphries, 28, had been sentenced to seven years and two months for drug-related offenses.
 
Derbyshire Police emphasized, "Both have links to the Stoke area, and the public is advised not to approach them. Instead, anyone with information about their whereabouts is urged to contact Derbyshire police.
