Cameron sacked me in cabinet 'clear out'

The latest casualty of David Cameron's cabinet reshuffle is former Attorney General, Dominic Grieve, as the Tories see the biggest 'clear out' for a number of years.

As 15 ministers were sacked in the last week, many have blasted the government, threatening, 'they will not go quietly'.

Britain's top law officer for four years before he was sacked, Mr Grieve claims his removal from his post was 'driven by UKIP' in a Mail Online report.

Telling reporters that he was ousted by Cameron to 'woo UKIP voters', Mr Grieve has also been reported to have infuriated Tory big wigs with his frequent warnings about their withdrawal from the European Convention on Human Rights.

Speaking recently, the sacked minister claims to be a 'Eurosceptic' and says he has actually disagreed with some of the Strasbourg Court's judgements.

Cameron is keen to let voters who have defected to UKIP know that he will stand up to Europe on Human Rights Rulings including the latest controversial directive to allow prisoners the right to vote.

Asked by Sky News about his sacking, Mr Grieve told them "It was certainly possible" that was why he lost his job. 

Despite his Eurosceptic remarks, Mr Grieve still voices his concerns about the government's withdrawal from Europe, saying, he believes it would cause 'reputational damage' and leave them open to EU legal challenges.

With some sacked ministers believed to have been offered Knighthoods as they leave quietly, others threaten to make trouble for Cameron on the backbenches.
