Killer given 800 pound payout for broken nose trimmers

A convicted killer serving a total of three life sentences for murder has received an £800 compensation payout after he sued the Ministry of Justice for loss and damage to his property while in prison.

Serving time in Frankland High Security Prison, Country Durham, 26 year old gangster Kevan Thakrar was jailed for the execution of three men with a machine gun.

Thakrar claimed that his property was damaged during his transfer from the prison when he went on a rampage, stabbing and slashing three guards with a broken bottle.

The killer decided to sue prison bosses saying he was stressed when he was compensated just £10 for the damage to some nasal clippers, the loss of 'priceless property' which included photographs and a carton of Cranberry juice.

Just two months earlier, Thakrar had stabbed 32 year old prison guard Craig Wylde with a broken Chilli sauce bottle. The ferocity of the stabbing caused Mr Wylde to lose 8 pints of blood, severing a major artery.

Speaking of Thakrar's compensation, Mr Wylde said the claim was "laughable". Addingf, "It is another case of the prisoner getting everything and the real victims getting nothing". "This latest claim will have cost thousands and thousands of the tax payers money.  It is just totally pathetic".

The triple killer who was sentenced for his crimes following a £10,000 drug debt then chased guard, Claire Lewis and stabbed her in the back with the bottle before slashing a third guard in the face.

While prison officer Craig Wylde is still waiting to hear if he will receive any compensation for his horrific injuries,  murderer Thakrar has managed to successfully sue the prison service.  £500 of the amount awarded was because prison bosses refused to apologise to the prisoner.

Before the case reached court, it was also revealed that Thakrar had threatened in Facebook postings to send the bailiffs to the home of Justice Secretary Chris Grayling  to recover the money he believed he was due.
