NHS Coronavirus advice

Whilst we generally like to focus on news items affecting the legal sector we've taken this opportunity to concentrate on Covid- 19, more commonly known as the Coronavirus.

Whilst the virus is affecting courts, the property sector, and the wider legal profession we have listed, below, the advice provided by the Government and the National Health Service (NHS).

With reference to the current official guidance, the NHS are stating that people should only leave their homes for the following reasons:

Shopping for basic necessities such as food and medicine.
One form of exercise such as a walk, run or cycle.
A medical need for themselves or to assist the vulnerable.
Travelling to work if such work absolutely can not be done from home.

Furthermore the following list represents the guidance detailed in March 2020 to help reduce the risk of catching the virus.

  1.  Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water. Do this often.
  2.  Use hand sanitiser if soap and water are not available.
  3.  When you cough or sneeze you should cover your mouth and nose (not with your hands).
  4.  Use tissues, or your sleeve, when you cough or sneeze. Dispose of the tissues and immediately wash your hands.
Please do not touch your nose, mouth or eyes if your hands are not clean.

If you have symptoms of the coronavirus (high temperature or a new continuous cough) you should call the 111 service.

This is clearly a difficult time for all those in the UK, and globally, and we wish everyone well.
