The application for ABS status was always a coherent step for Active Legal. The benefit for registering this new type of law firm structure will allow non-lawyers and investors in the company to share management, and their control over future company matters.
Lloyd Hemmings, Director said:
"Active Legal has an established reputation as a specialist personal injury firm, working from our base just outside of Birmingham. We are pleased to announce that following our successful application to become an Alternative Business Structure (ABS), Active Legal has been awarded ABS status from 1 March 2013.
Rather than seeing the coming changes in legislation through the Jackson reforms as a hindrance to growth, we see it more as an opportunity.
As such our strategy, is now to seize this unique chance to grow and diversify into other areas of law. We also plan to use our new status as a means of reinforcing our commitment to client satisfaction and access to justice.
In particular, our use of social media makes us more transparent than other firms, increases our marketability to the general public and confidence in our service in general.
We now look forward to the exciting future ahead, for both Active Legal and our clients."
You will notice changes to our team page as both Lloyd and Kerry have been appointed as the Directors for Active Legal.
